Palisades Camping

 The first weekend in August we decided to go camping with Tietjens and Christensens.

Wayne (Katie's hubby) ended up getting sick,

so he stayed home with Barrett,

but we took Katie and Ezra with us!
The drive to Palisades is about an hour, but then we camped on the far side so it was about an hour and a half drive out there.
The kids zonked out:

We had originally planned to play at the lake Saturday afternoon,

after we got there,

but right after we set up it started pouring rain and thundering so we just stayed at camp and hung out and ate dinner.

The kids were put to bed and the adults stayed up talking.

The next morning it was still sketchy weather,

but we had a window of good sun so we packed up and stopped at the lake to let the kids play on our way home!
