The kids didn't get out of school in Cali until June 13th, but that didn't stop us from playing and swimming and partying with friends! We had multiple pool birthday parties for friends in the ward (Penelope and Ashten!), along with swimming lessons for Ryder (he officially is swimming without his puddle jumper!yay!), which is a big deal. He was ready, we were all ready.
About to take off on a morning run! These didn't happen a lot in Cali (i typically would run on the treadmill before she woke up).
Ashten, Scout, Tinley
It has been the best having Bronx and Tinley old enough to help more with Scout, especially in the pool! She loves them and they are the cutest with her!
Ava and Ryder (Ryder is 6 almost 7 but looks about 5 haha he's so tiny)
The boys have been growing out their hair, and had been wanting to cut it for the last day of school. Well, they found out that their cousins McCoy and Nix buzzed and bleached their hair for the summer, so they decided they wanted to do the same...minus the buzz. Here's some before and afters for ya!
Lots of watermelon was had this summer. Not all were tasty, and I'm officially not buying another watermelon for the year (do you get tired of cutting them too?!)!
There was Father's Day and fort building started as soon as school was out.
Kevin and I snuck away for lunch to a place called Catrina's Kitchen in Ontario. Kevin had read up on some different reviews, and this one had the best, and did not disappoint! It ended up being his favorite!
One of the coolest things I think Bronx got to experience this year was Stake Young Men's Camp! Remember, our Cali ward is super small (and close-knit and amazing), and so doing it as a combined camp was almost like doing it as a "normal sized" Utah or Idaho ward. They went down to the Cali/Nevada border where someone in the stake (the Guith's) owned a house and property right on the river. They kayaked, paddle boarded, floated, fished, swam, and caught massive frogs every day. It was such a great experience for Bronx and his first big thing away from us that long (he's gotten to do temple trips to St George with our ward which has been super cool too!). The boys slept in a bunkhouse that had spiders Bronx said, and he basically lived in his swim suit and sandals the entire time (uh, yuck!hahaha), which also led to him getting lots of sun.
