Wow.
What's up?
September was a blur,
and we don't want to ever ride on another plane again.
Here's a recap of our life the last month and a half (and what i need to post about):
1. We moved
2. In between our move, we went on a vacation...to Europe!
So this move.
Here's how it went:
Our vacation to Europe was already planned when Kevin accepted the store in Albuquerque,
so Kevin's work planned on us moving after that.
We however,
did not want to come back to Oregon after our trip and load up,
so we packed up everything before hand in a trailer that Kevin bought.
This actually ended up being the smartest thing to do,
because it eliminated an 8+ hour drive from everything.
We took off for Boise Sept. 18th with everything in tow,
the day before we were to leave to Europe.
Goodbye Salem home!
Goodbye rainy weather!
I do already miss our Turner Ward family, they were the sweetest ever!!
Truck and trailer: ready to rock and roll.
I, of course, followed behind with Bronx and Tank in the Acura.
Super!
9 hours later (we drove the slowest EVER because of that trailer) we arrived in Meridian.
Kevin and I left for Europe the next morning,
while Bronx stayed behind with Grandma and Grandpa and Alair and Tay.
(don't worry-i'm working on that post!)
We flew home from Europe Sunday Sept. 29th,
and then Tuesday Kevin's company flew all 3 of us down to NM to house hunt for a week.
Having Kevin fly with Bronx and me is the biggest lifesaver.
We flew from Boise to Phoenix to Albuquerque.
(so a 2 hour flight, then a quick 45min flight)
It doesn't seem long,
but this dang kid of ours just wants to go WILD in planes.
I really should stop complaining though,
because he did fall asleep for an hour each way...
Texas Roadhouse.
We've been craving it for a year (aka since we've been in Salem),
and HAD to stop when we saw it in Albuquerque.
You understand? :)
Our schedule for that week went like this:
6am - wake up, get ready
7:30am - eat breakfast
8am - call and schedule appointments (to see homes)
9am - first appt.
9:30am - second appt.
10am - third appt.
...etc...all the way until 5pm.
(basically we saw about 15 houses a day)
Then we'd eat dinner,
come back to the hotel,
and be out cold by 9pm.
Europe time was really messing with our systems right about now.
haha.
Bronx was...okay throughout this process.
"okay" = hating life and his carseat.
But we survived and so did he,
and more importantly,
we found a home!
We flew back to Idaho Saturday night,
then took off driving Sunday afternoon to Rexburg to see Kevin's parents.
We left Rexburg Wednesday and drove down to Provo and said hi to more family
(Holl and Jeff and kiddos + Ern + Alden + Elise).
We slept at Josh and Ang's,
woke up at 4am,
I barfed (on the side of the road-don't worry, i threw that door open so fast, nothing was going to get on Kevin's "precious car") before we got a mile down the road,
and then we continued along our merry way...all the way here.

The kitchen and breakfast nook are to the right.

This was our first reaction in here too.
haha.
We love vaulted ceilings!
To Bronx's left is storage under the stairs, a half bath, and our master bedroom.
Kinda weird being on a different floor level than Bronx,
but I'm used to it now!
Upstairs is a big loft (this overlooks the living room-you can see that in the second pic),
2 bedrooms,
and a full bathroom.
Giving Bronx baths in a real tub is the best!
(he's been taking them in our kitchen sink this whole time because in Salem,
the tub was so old and slanted AWAY from the drain = super annoying to drain!)

Yes,
the firepit has already been put to good use.
It's one of my favorite things!
This is our backyard view.
Pretty sweet to not have anyone in your face.
Just some big power line poles and mountains.
Bronx loves watching the tractors dig around during the day.
And do you see this blue sky?
I think I'M in heaven - I missed it so much!
Kevin is finally back at work now,
and I'm getting into a good schedule here at home with Bronx.
We are healthy, happy, and loving Albuquerque!
(now someone come visit us!!)

I can't say enough how happy we are to finally be settled down in a HOUSE.
It's exciting and so different from the condo/townhome/apartment living we've done for the past 5 years.

The biggest things Kevin wanted was 1. grass and 2. an attached garage.
He got both,
and is pretty darn excited he gets to mow our own lawn....even if it is small :)
We love love love being able to let Tank and Bronx free back here.
They think it's heaven or something.
Bronx would sit and play in those rocks all day if I let him!

Your new place is GORGEOUS!!!!!! Congratulations you guys! You have had a crazy few weeks and managed to be pregnant through it all!? You are my idol. Also, Ryan and Bronx are 2 peas in a pod when it comes to car seats and sitting in the car. Sometimes I want to pull my hair out! Xo
