A few weeks ago (okay now over a month ago) the Elder's Quorum in our Ward decided to host their own "Pinewood Derby".
I guess those men didn't get enough of it as scouts :)
I was happy that to hear it was on a Thursday night so that Kevin could go.
All the wards we've been to in the past 3 years have been awesome and welcoming,
but this one in particular has been the best for Kevin.
That may sound silly,
but usually it's hard for Kevin to make friends or see anyone because his job is so demanding,
and makes him work Sundays.
But since the day we moved in here he hit it off great with the guys in the ward,
and loves going to basketball every week,
and going 4wheeling and shooting with the guys.
It makes my heart happy because i know he misses all his Idaho friends a lot.

There were no rules except:
bring anything from home to help you win.
They got pretty creative :)

Okay, this post made me chuckle. I know what you mean about certain wards being better for your husband. I feel the same. Jason works so much, at actual work and with projects around here, that he doesn't often get out or do stuff with the other men in the ward. Our next-door neighbors are members, about our age with 2 little kiddos, and they have been so awesome. Makes me grateful.
