FullerFest: Day 2

July 12, 2012

FRIDAY
..................

Our morning began with a stop at Pirate Island,
the first port on our cruise.

Photobucket

Kerr and Zach took charge on this one.
Look at the cute table Kerr set up!

We were then divided up into 3 teams,
and each given a canvas to create a team name/flag.

Red = Rockin' Red Robbin Rebels

Yellow = No Mercy

Each Team's flag and captain.

After the flags were made and hung,
Zach took the older kids on a treasure hunt,

and Kerr took the younger ones on their own treasure hunt.

The kids were loving life.
Kerr emailed us all before hand and let each parent know what child of theirs had which cousin.
She drew names out of a hat to make it random.

Photobucket

What I don't have pics of is the "adult" birthday party that we did after the kids were done with theirs.
Each girl buys a girl $5 gift,
and each guy buys a $5 gift.
They we put them in a pile in the middle and go around in a circle answering questions Zach would ask us like:
"Name 3 people's birthdays in July."
or
"Who are the 5 grandkids that are all the same age?"
If you answer correctly,
then you get to choose a gift from the pile.
It's super fun....but boy I sure stink at remembering anything!
It's the second time we've done this "birthday party" theme and it's always a huge hit!

We then made lunches and got ready for our next port of call.
The AQUARIUM!

We all had a good time here {even though it was stinky like fish....go figure}.

As we were driving home from the aquarium,
we notice lots of smoke rising up from the mountian over from ours.
Some of the guys drove over to get in on the action and see what was happening.

Kevin took these pics,
and said that even though you can't see it in the picture,
but these backyards were all on fire!

Photobucket

Needless to say,
peeps started getting evacuated.
It kinda made me sick and feel sorry for all the people that had their zillion-dollar homes getting destroyed.
Looking down from our rental FullerFest house,
we could see that almost every garage was open and families were throwing box after box into whatever vehicle they owned.
How would it be to have to just up and leave EVERYTHING on the spot?
What would I grab?

Photobucket

Photobucket

There was lots of speculation as to what we were going to do,
where we were going to go if we did get evacuated...
...and then we got the call that we had to, too {get evacuated}!
{boo!}

Photobucket

Then it kinda became chaos as peeps started throwing suitcases,
and food into every car.

Photobucket

Photobucket

But don't worry,
there was still time for posing and goofing.

Photobucket

We decided to bambard Dustin and Alissa's home {sorry again guys!},
because it was the closest and biggest.

The kids ran around outside while dinner was being made.
Then we ate,
and just as we were deciding what our next "move" was going to be,
we found out that we could go back to the house!
Yay!
It was a huge relief because by this time little chillins' needed to be going to bed.

Once we got back and re-unloaded everything {so so fun},
and got the kids put to bed,
we played Cin's "Newlywed Game".
She had all of the wives leave the room first,
and asked the husbands a few questions like:

"What's the worst advice she ever gave you"
"Even though your wife won't admit it, what is one thing her friends are jealous of her?
Phone Convo: "Hello, why yes, if it makes you happy, I'll go out of my way to pick up some _____ before I come home."
"I wish my wife were a little less _____" {this was a good one for great discussions later-ha!}
"No relationship is perfect, so tell me, from the time the two of you officially started dating, what was the  longest period of time you spent broken up?"
"I know my wife's body so well, I could identify her just by looking at a close up of her _____"

The guys would then tell their answers out loud to each other {so no one could change them},
and then all the wives came back into the room and would be asked the same questions.
If the wife answered the same as her husband had,
then that couple got a point.
It was hilarious to hear some of the responses,
and see how each couple did.
Then it was the husbands's turn to leave the room while Cin asked all the wives different questions:

"If your husband's manhood suddenly started talking, what would be the first words out of it's mouth? A-Where ya been baby? B-Wanna go again? C-Boy, I could use some rest!"
"My husband is in desperate need of an intervention when it comes to his obsession with _____"
"According to your husband, where's the one place he wants to do it, but he knows you'd never go for it."
"If your husband was hosting a dinner party for all the girls he has kissed in his life, not including you, how many place settings would he need?"
"My hubby and I will be together forever, which is exactly how long it will take me to get used to his habit of _____, and him to get used to my habit of ______!"

Such a fun game!
Kevin and I are happy to say that we tied with three other couples for first place.
{yes! we have learned something about each other in 4 years!}
Then it was talk time/bed time.
